While taking this break from blogging, I’ve dabbled in a few other hobbies, and I’ve realized this: blogging is fun, and I miss it. I haven’t been able to find another creative outlet quite like style blogging; I’ve missed my internet friends, and I’ve missed the support and encouragement in dressing a bit off-kilter. You guys get me, and it’s a part of my life that I can share with you. In the time I’ve taken to reevaluate, I’ve settled on creating an atmosphere here that fosters creativity in outward expression, as well as sharing some thought-provoking, perhaps inspirational words throughout the journey. I hope you’ll enjoy me being completely honest, being completely me. In a world full of over-done, overly tan, over-planned, and just fake, I’m here to be your imperfect, super pale, honest and real style blogger who probably didn’t plan this. You’re welcome.

I’ve been thinking on this quote, by Marcel Proust, for a few weeks now, and it strikes me as quite the biblical reality. As I told my husband…. it is why we are here, on this earth. I hope that you will give it some thought, as well.

“We are healed of a suffering only by experiencing it to the full.”

xo, Jess

  1. LOVE that quote, and I 100% agree. That is why we are here, for sure. Suffering is a part of life and something we can all look forward to ending for eternity at some point!! That wasn’t supposed to sound morbid, but I think it kind of did.. oh well. Also, you are gorgeous and I love your chic outfit! Black leather jackets are a must in any wardrobe.

  2. Haha, I’m super pale too. :) I think the best bloggers are the ones who can be honest instead of putting on a fake front. I love my blogging friends too, but I have to remember to take care of myself offline and make time to be creative and have fun without needing an audience. It’s all about balance.
